Finally! Five years after the release of their previous full length studio effort, Space Symphony Around Us, Czech goregrinders Carnal Diafragma are back with 16 infectiously catchy tracks, spread out over 30 diarrhea and gore-splattered minutes, titled Planet of Children?s Heads.
For those of you unfamiliar with the band?s sound, Carnal Diafragma play fast, catchy, ugly and fun Czech-style goregrind. The band are unlike any goregrind band you?ve ever heard, the closest band that comes to mind would be Gut, but only in terms of vocal variety. Musically, they?re all over the place. One minute they?re typical beat-burp-n-chug goregrind, and the next they?re shred-blast-n-shriek grindcore. The only constant throughout the album is the material is both fucking awesome, and fucking mental.
The best way to explain the music, would be to jump into a dryer full of rocks for half an hour and listen to the rocks, and your skull, banging off the sides, while you vomit and bang about uncontrollably. In a good way.
If you?re looking for something fun, unique, catchy and sick, Planet of Children?s Heads is an absolute must-listen, and the reason why Carnal Diafragma have become my new favorite goregrind act. Fucking sick!
