Corpse Molester Cult is rising to show today?s Death Metal scene some old school songs, performed by old school people. The band has Tomi Joutsen of Amorphis among the ranks, but the main vocal duties are instead handled by Antti ?str?m, known in the local Lohja circles as the main creative force of Wasara, a melancholic-aggressive heavy rock/metal band that has released two rather gloomy full-lengths in the first half of the first decade of the millenium. The music found on Corpse Molester Cult is essentially rather pure Entombed worship. The death metal leans heavily to the direction of death'n'roll, and pays homage to the early days of death metal, perhaps mostly to early Obituary. The production is excellent, extremely guitar-heavy, and the songs simply and unavoidably make your head nod, then turn that nodding into headbanging. The music and the songs are very good, the performances excellent. The production is wonderfully thick and guitar-heavy, with plenty of fidelity. Great one!
