Sepsism are one of the best DM bands around. This album is mostly mid-paced, with hints of melody and GOOD groove thrown in. Sepsism doesn't ever get techy-spastic-ADD, most of the songs are mid-paced with gory lyrics, filled with crushing riffs and some amazing vocals from Fernando Avila, and this guy can go from a mid-range rasp to a death grunt in the same chorus with no problems. The guitar work also deserves mention--it is brutal death, but Leon Morrison guides the riffs on a chuggy, thick course throughout the album, and he always has something interesting to offer up. The production is really good, you can hear all instrumentation clearly. Oh, another plug for Morrison is that he played ALL the bass on this as well as the guitar.
