"Passiondale" is an amazing concept album that deals with World War I in 1917, and it's also named after a village which is located in Belgium, where some of the most bloodiest fights and wars took place. The tone of this album is very dark and brutal, it really matches all of the events that took place there. The first song, Under a Darkening Sky, opens with a nice cutting riff and Sattler's trademark vocals, and the album proceeds at full speed from there.
The guitarwork and drums are everything you would expect from God Dethroned, and they have added a couple sections with well-done haunting clean vocals. Another 5 star record in the cannon.
