ABSOLUTE '90s PORTLAND HARDCORE/PUNK CLASSIC – 12 TRACKS OF FURIOUS ANARCHO-HARDCORE WITH KILLER FEMALE VOCALS!! One of the most powerful and memorable albums of the entire '90s American HARDCORE/PUNK scene! Originally released in 1998 on SKULD RELEASES, this legendary self-titled LP by Portland's DETESTATION remains an absolute masterpiece of politically charged, uncompromising HARDCORE! 12 tracks of incredibly intense and passionate HARDCORE/PUNK, combining the raw aggression of classic '80s American HC with the ferocious speed and primitive power of Finnish and Japanese bands such as KAAOS, MELAKKA, APPENDIX and GAUZE! Crushing guitar riffs, pounding drums, powerful bass lines and SAIRA's absolutely outstanding, raspy and furious vocals create an unmistakable sound, overflowing with anger, urgency and genuine rebellious spirit! Often compared to NAUSEA and SACRILEGE, DETESTATION developed their own distinctive identity, favoring direct, hard-hitting HARDCORE over excessive metallic influences. Songs like "Your Choice", "Trash", "Back From The Dead", "Gospel Fucker" and "Must We Divide" perfectly capture the band's explosive energy and fiercely confrontational attitude. A monumental document of the '90s American DIY HARDCORE movement, as powerful and relevant today as when it was first unleashed! 12 TRACKS OF CLASSIC PORTLAND HARDCORE – OFFICIAL 2024 HAVOC RECORDS VINYL REISSUE, REMASTERED BY JACK CONTROL AT ENORMOUS DOOR MASTERING!!
