For the uninitiated, Catasexual Urge Motivation is a japanese duo (two brothers) playing very industrial sounding drum machine Grind/Gore with some major death metal influences. The ultra-downtuned deathly doom-laden riffs mixed with the bouncy electronic rhythms makes their music sound especially hypnotic, atmospheric yet catchy. It's like a mix between the Tetsuo movie soundtrack, early Gore Beyond Necropsy (drum machine era), Impetigo and the vocals reminds the sickest part of Symphonies of Sickness, all those putrid whispers and death-rattle-like growls, made ten times more perverse and psychotic... The obsession with serial killing and mass murder is almost as important as the music here, giving the band an extra disturbing aura, something that has never been replicated by any other band quite as successfully. This compilation features advanced tracs, re-recorded songs and totally unreleased ones, making it a great collective item for long time fans and a perfect first step for newcomers. This is hard to descrive as a "for fans of" record. This is hands down one of the most perverted, sick and foul bands that ever stepped this rotting planet. Don't miss it.
