FEROCIOUS ICELANDIC BLACK METAL – A FROZEN STORM OF RAW AGGRESSION AND DARK MELODIES!!
Straight from Reykjavík, Iceland, SKURDGOD unleash their crushing self-titled debut album, delivering 7 tracks of vicious, uncompromising BLACK METAL! Emerging from the Icelandic scene in 2023, the band follows its early "Líflát" demo with an impressive display of savage intensity, sinister atmospheres and remarkably inspired songwriting. Razor-sharp tremolo riffs, furious blastbeats, venomous shrieking vocals and an organic, abrasive production collide with haunting melodic passages and unexpected rhythmic shifts. Rooted in traditional BLACK METAL, the album occasionally ventures into heavier DEATH METAL territories, while eerie keyboard interludes add an unsettling, frostbitten atmosphere. Far from the overly technical and dissonant approach often associated with contemporary Icelandic black metal, SKURDGOD focus on memorable riffs, relentless aggression and a genuinely sinister feeling. An outstanding debut from one of the promising new forces in Scandinavian extreme metal! 2026 DEBUT ALBUM – 7 TRACKS OF PURE ICELANDIC BLACK METAL! LP EDITION ON ROTTING MISERY RECORDS!!
