Campo di Marte self-titled album is considered to be one of the best italian progressive records of the Seventies. Most of compositions alternate between heavy guitar-driven sections, and mellower passages featuring flute, piano, and mellotron. The use of French horns during some sections is interesting, and adds a unique touch. A superb Italian band that sadly released a single album when they had much more to give. This Italian prog classic is now available in a new limited deluxe LP reissue on 180gr. crystal vinyl.
