Abort Mastication’s debut delivers a punishing dose of Japanese deathgrind, combining relentless blast beats, crushing chugs and a ferocious mix of screams and guttural growls. Rooted firmly in the genre’s tradition, the album embraces medical gore imagery through titles such as “The Art of Disembowel Plan”, “Teratogenic Fetal Fury”, “Cranial Endorphin for Maniac” and “Affect Under Festered Skin”. The tracks deliver concentrated bursts of brutality, with “Haigh” standing out for its wild thrashing passages, forceful death metal riffs and an unsettling sequence of dissonant minor chords. These elements add a sinister atmosphere to the band’s aggressive sound, bringing together grinding intensity and riff-driven heaviness.
