Swedish Death Metal from the graveyard! PUTRIFIED are a Death Metal band from Stockholm and ?Death Darkness Decay? is their first full length, although they have been active since 2010 with two demos and two EPs behind. The cover is very evocative and actually anticipates the sulfurous atmosphere found within the album. From the very first listen, ?Death Darkness Decay? actually leaves you bewildered, since the intro that each song has recalls gloomy atmospheres, more typical of genres such as Black Metal in its more atmospheric meanings or Doom Metal with a Gothic style. This is a curious, but winning choice to introduce each song by an intro that reminds of some ancient orthodox church of Eastern Europe. In these 33 minutes, PUTRIFIED were able to merge Grindcore, blast beats, sulphur Doom atmosphere, Hardcore and furious solos with the main pattern of Swedish Death Metal.
