ARMOUR \"Sonichouse tape - Siamese invasion\"
THAILAND EDITION WITH TWO BONUS TRACKS RECORDED LIVE AT JALOMETALLI FESTIVAL IN 2006!

The foursome who are behind Armour, are all experienced musicians, but what strikes the eye is that all of them used to play (or still play) in black metal bands; the notorious Satanic Warmaster being one of them. Knowing this, an old school heavy metal fan may be a bit sceptical, thinking the music will be some obscure blackish heavy metal sound. Well, nothing is more further from the truth... Influenced by the godfathers of heavy metal, this album kicks off with one hell of a song, "Speeding into the Night". Tight leather pants, chains and teared up denim jackets is the image that will bump in your head. You're blown from your seat right back into the early eighties! Their over all sound reminds of the old W.A.S.P. albums, but with more speed elements instead of the melodic glamish sounds, whilst the vocals sound a bit like Accept's Udo, but way less harsh. Although you can hear the influences of those bands, they still keep their pretty much own sound, instead of copying the music of their lovable bands like Bullet does. This is headbanging, beer drinking and shouting from beginning to end, all catchy tunes and possible cult songs, especially "Heavy Metal Drinkers". Even lyric-wise this album is 80s! Bands like this are pretty rare these days, so they should be cherished and supported. In any case, the band has a very recognisable, yet own sound, which should please old school heavy metal fans, especially of the 80s sound.
