Slovenian chaos black metallers BLEEDING FIST open up their crypt to reveal 'Death's Old Stench', a compilation of unreleased songs from 2011-2013. At a dozen tracks strong, 'Death's Old Stench' unveils a different side to BLEEDING FIST, one less manic and chaotic and more classically grim and ghastly. This raw, beefy slab of blackened death metal that features a cavernous sound that rivals the dungeon style atmosphere of releases from the late 1980's and early 1990's such as Death's Scream Bloody Gore. The thickest portion of this premium cut of bloody meat is made up of standard black metal ingredients, such as tremolo picking dripping in reverb, down strummed power chords, blast beats and deep, charred growls with surrounding echoes. Despite these generalized spices, the material is flavorful in it's compositions and bloody in it's execution. Although most of the content is fast and brutal, there are a solid amount of tempo changes, ranging from the slower death metal sections in "Brotherhood", "The Veiled" and "Unholy Saint of Death" to the upbeat blackened thrash anthems heard in "Revelation" and "Holy Saint of Death".
