Foetal Juice is a Bury-based death metal outfit with a good few EPs under their bullet belts, this being their 7th release. Surely winning most ridiculous EP title ever, Foetal Juice have nothing to prove since they simply do not actually give a shit what you or I think of their 5 track EP title. These guys are producing what can only be described as the original British version of Death Metal, that being the type that makes a pit appear in a room full of dirty metal heads. Groovy, slack / tight??..riffy, doubled vocals in all the right places, you get the point yet? You only need 10 seconds to realise what these lot are about, opening track 'Big Trouble in Little Vagina' being a karate chop to the throat, and is followed by plenty more strong tracks 'Brewkakke', 'Semen Evil Smear No Evil', the outstanding one being 'Serpents of the Northern Lights' with its scratchy, jagged riff.No track here is unworthy of a listen at high volume with a smile on your face. It?s refreshing to hear a band from the old school who never did get caught up in the speed over substance trap of Death Metal. Pure gold really.
