Fast. Short. Angry. South Carolina?s Lecherous Nocturne deliver 23 minutes of bowel eroding kill metal with their debut Adoration of the Blade. There are moments of "wazzat?" headiness on "Adoration of the Blade" (see tracks like "Divine Wind") where Lecherous Nocturne reveals their love of Gorguts and the like, but like those modern masterworkers, Lecherous Nocturne also has a great ear for feeling and atmosphere that?s more than a match for their obvious technical prowess. The fast parts are pissed?.the mid-tempo parts are slimy and evil in a way that Morbid Angel used to be? all in all it?s a solid release from one of the underground?s best kept secrets, whose best days may be a head of them? but their off to a hell of a fucking start.
