Kenny Brieger set the bar high with his previous releases and Scathing has lived up to the rich Texas Harsh Noise legacy so far. “Tunneling Flesh Mound” displays what is identified and appreciated as the project´s signature mark: a disorienting cascade of damaged electronics stuck in its own upheaval, a masterful juxtaposition of the layers of its textural deterioration, an hyperactive haze, a sharp and sweltering puzzle.
