Mint unplayed copy, original on Hold Up (Japan)!
Extremely rare and long out-of-print 2017 CD anthology of one of the most legendary and sinister bands to emerge from Japan's early '80s hardcore punk underground! Hailing from Osaka's notoriously violent Kansai hardcore scene, M.O.B.S were among the pioneering outfits that helped shape the dark, uncompromising sound of Japanese hardcore alongside GISM, ZOUO, GHOUL and THE EXECUTE. "Kill 'Em All" gathers 23 tracks of essential early material, including their highly sought-after first two EPs, "Diabolism" (1984) and "Projection Of Astral Body" (1985), previously unreleased 1983 demo recordings, two tracks from the cult "Hardcore Fuhō Shūkai" compilation (1984) and 8 live cuts recorded at Osaka's Bourbon House on August 7th, 1986! Musically, expect a savage mixture of primitive, distorted hardcore, demonic vocals, pounding rhythms and ominous, almost gothic atmospheres. While their earliest recordings deliver a raw, chaotic assault in the tradition of GISM and ZOUO, the later material reveals a more distinctive and haunting side, incorporating dark melodies and elements of Japanese punk without sacrificing the band's original aggression. All 23 tracks have been remastered under the supervision of guitarist Yamane, preserving the raw and authentic sound of the original '80s recordings. Released in 2017 by HOLD UP RECORDS, this CD has since become a genuinely hard-to-find collector's item, commanding serious prices on the Japanese second-hand market. A crucial piece of Japanese hardcore history and an absolute must-have for dedicated collectors of '80s Japanese punk!
