THE LEGENDARY UNRELEASED "DAMAGED" SESSIONS WITH DEZ CADENA ON VOCALS – A HOLY GRAIL OF EARLY '80s US HARDCORE!! An incredible piece of BLACK FLAG history, documenting one of the most fascinating recording sessions from the pioneering years of American HARDCORE/PUNK! Before HENRY ROLLINS joined the band in 1981, BLACK FLAG had already recorded a nearly complete version of their legendary debut album "Damaged" at Golden Age Studios, with DEZ CADENA handling all vocal duties! According to the band's longtime engineer and live soundman SPOT, these sessions also produced the tracks used for the classic "Six Pack" EP. While part of this material was officially released, the remaining recordings were never properly issued, circulating for decades among collectors through rare tape copies. A fascinating opportunity to hear BLACK FLAG's early classics in their pre-Rollins incarnation, with Dez's distinctive, abrasive vocal delivery adding a different dimension to the band's already ferocious sound. Comparing these recordings with the final 1981 album reveals striking similarities in vocal phrasing and arrangements, offering a unique insight into the evolution of one of the most influential records in HARDCORE history. What if GREG GINN and the rest of BLACK FLAG had never recruited Henry Rollins and had released "Damaged" with Dez Cadena on vocals? HERE'S THE CLOSEST YOU'LL EVER GET TO FINDING OUT!! THE MYTHICAL PRE-ROLLINS "DAMAGED" RECORDING SESSIONS – AN ESSENTIAL ARCHIVAL DOCUMENT OF EARLY AMERICAN HARDCORE/PUNK!!
