A true cult artifact of the former Yugoslav underground! Originally released in 1989 on the legendary Slušaj Najglasnije! label, "Ljuljajmo Ljubljeni Ljubičasti Ljulj" is one of the most infamous recordings by SATAN PANONSKI, the uncompromising alter ego of Croatian punk provocateur, poet and extreme performance artist Ivica Culjak (1960–1992). Often compared to GG ALLIN for his outrageous and confrontational stage performances, Satan Panonski was a completely unique figure whose artistic expression went far beyond the boundaries of conventional punk rock. His notorious "Hard Blood Shock" performances combined primitive punk, disturbing poetry, theatrical provocation and radical body art into something genuinely unsettling. Musically, this recording delivers an extremely raw and stripped-down mixture of primitive punk rock, frantic outbursts, obsessive vocals and bizarre spoken-word passages, all wrapped in a gloriously crude late-'80s underground production. No polished arrangements or conventional songwriting here, just the unfiltered expression of one of the most eccentric and controversial personalities to emerge from the Yugoslav punk scene. An essential piece of Balkan underground history and a fascinating document of an artist who truly lived outside every possible convention!
