Japanese import with OBI strip, sealed. 11 tracks of blistering, hyperactive hardcore punk from Nagoya, Japan! Released in 2021 by the legendary MCR COMPANY, "Smile & Peace" is the second full-length album by DESMILE, delivering an absolutely relentless assault of raging, breakneck-speed Japanese hardcore thrash! Powered by a furious rhythm section pushing the BPM to the limit, razor-sharp guitar riffing courtesy of newly recruited guitarist Yan, and a distinctive barrage of rapid-fire Japanese vocals backed by energetic gang choruses. Imagine the frantic intensity of early GAUZE and S.O.B. mixed with the catchy, almost infectious approach of traditional Japanese hardcore punk, played with impressive precision and absolutely no intention of slowing down! The 11 songs rush past in just 13 minutes, combining lightning-fast thrash attacks, tight arrangements and a slightly twisted punk rock attitude that makes the whole thing surprisingly memorable despite its extreme speed. A highly entertaining dose of contemporary Japanese hardcore that stays true to the spirit of the old school. Recommended for maniacs of furious Japanese HC, speedcore and hardcore thrash!
