LEGENDARY '90s PORTLAND HARDCORE/PUNK – 17 TRACKS OF FURIOUS, POLITICALLY CHARGED CRUST/HARDCORE!! An essential collection documenting the early recordings of Portland's mighty DETESTATION, one of the most powerful and distinctive bands of the '90s American HARDCORE/PUNK scene! Fronted by SAIRA's absolutely ferocious vocals, the band delivered an explosive mixture of raw, aggressive HARDCORE, heavily influenced by classic '80s Finnish bands such as KAAOS, MELAKKA and APPENDIX, alongside CRUCIFIX, POISON IDEA and DISCHARGE! This killer LP gathers 17 tracks originally released between 1996 and 1998 across rare singles, split EPs and compilation appearances, bringing together material that had remained scattered across numerous hard-to-find vinyl releases for decades! Savage guitar riffs, pounding drums, fierce shouted vocals and a genuine sense of urgency combine into a furious succession of uncompromising HARDCORE/PUNK attacks, fueled by radical political convictions and the rebellious DIY spirit of the era. Featuring musicians who would later contribute to such bands as HELLSHOCK, DEFIANCE, QUESTION and P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., DETESTATION remain a fundamental name in the history of American '90s HARDCORE/PUNK! 17 TRACKS OF CLASSIC PORTLAND HARDCORE – OFFICIAL HAVOC RECORDS LP EDITION!! Remastered for vinyl by JACK CONTROL at Enormous Door Mastering.
