The back-to-basics 3 piece Hatred Surge sees a much more apparent death metal influence and manages to retain the "grinding violence" stylings they are known (and loved) for. Mixing the pure and restless powerviolence attitude with sludgey and muddy riffing, the Austin band proved that a side-project (Mammoth Grinder, in this case) can influence so hard the "mother band" sound. Make no mistake, Human Overdose is a menacing, feel-bad kinda trip to say the least.
