More than cult NY Hardcore combo that lasted for a few years only, from mid to late 80's. From the ashes of the thrash metal/crossover band NYC Mayhem, Straight Ahead recorded a handful of songs for a demo and the legendary 12" "Breakaway". Not to be messed with the metallic bands that were around at the time, Straight Ahead played fast no frills strong in your face hardcore. Members of Straight Ahead can be tracked in the line ups of Youth Of Today, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Rest in Pieces. This LP collects their iconic 12" "Breakaway", their 1985 demo and a full live from 1987 at CBGB!
