One of the absolute classics of the early '90s American CRUST/GRINDCORE scene! Originally released in 1994 on Sound Pollution Records, "Necropolis" is the first and only full-length album by Minneapolis' legendary DESTROY, the politically charged HARDCORE maniacs fronted by FELIX VON HAVOC! Recorded shortly after the band's intense six-week tour in 1993, "Necropolis" captures DESTROY at the peak of their ferocious musical evolution, combining the raw fury of British ANARCHO-PUNK with the crushing aggression of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, DISRUPT, DOOM and early NAPALM DEATH! A savage mixture of ultra-fast HARDCORE, grinding guitar distortion, pounding drums, vicious shouted vocals and heavier CRUSTCORE passages, fueled by radical political lyrics attacking war, oppression, religion and social conformity. 23 tracks of absolutely furious, uncompromising HARDCORE/GRIND, including such classics as "Remote Control", "Burn Down The Mall", "God Squad", "Necropolis" and "War Without Mercy"! A crucial document of the golden age of American DIY HARDCORE, capturing the explosive energy and genuine rebellious spirit that made DESTROY one of the most respected bands of their generation! OFFICIAL 2025 VINYL REISSUE ON HAVOC RECORDS (HAVOC 1260)!! Newly remastered to restore the heavier, more powerful sound originally intended by the band, correcting the limitations of the original 1994 mix. FEATURES BRAND-NEW COVER ARTWORK BY TIM TANKER, REINTERPRETING THE ORIGINAL "NECROPOLIS" CONCEPT!!
